CRICKET

SENIORS

Practice

Senior cricket training will take place at Cambridge Avenue every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6pm.  Please make every effort to attend as much as possible.

Team Selection

Selection takes place at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings and players must confirm their availability to a Team Captain in advance of this meeting.  Teams will be posted on http://www.maldenwanderers.play-cricket.com no later than Wednesday.  If for any reason you are unable to play after the teams have been selected please contact your Team Captain immediately.

COLTS

Coaching for colts takes place at the Club on Friday evenings between 6.30 - 8pm commencing 22nd April - 15th July 2011.

The Under 16's are expected to make themselves available for the senior games on Sundays and if good enough, for the league games on Saturday.

Colts will NOT be allowed to bat in any match if they are not wearing helmets.

Wednesday evenings between 6.30 - 8pm commencing 27th April - 13th July 2011.

CRICKET COACHING FOR GIRLS

We are a "Focus Club" for girls' cricket for our area, supported by Surrey Cricket, Sport England's Active Sports and the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.

Girls' coaching is on Mondays between 6.30 - 8pm commencing 25th April - 11th July 2011.

CODE OF CONDUCT

All members/supporters of this Club are expected to play and/or support the playing of the game of cricket in accordance with the spirit of good sportsmanship and fair play.

In particular, members should ensure that in playing of the game, and in their general support of the Club and its teams, they at no time indulge in any unsporting behaviour or activities which could blemish the good name of the Club and bring the reputation of the game into disrepute, namely:  insulting opponents;  using bad language;  making offensive remarks to the umpire or opposition supporters;  taking property belonging to the opponents or their club;  publicly criticising the umpire;  playing under the influence of excessive alcohol or influence of drugs;  making racial or racist remarks;  or behaving in a way likely to cause offence.

Members should understand that this Club could be held responsible/answerable to the Surrey Championship, the Surrey County Cricket Association and the England & Wales Cricket Board in turn for the actions of its members or supporters in respect of any misconduct such as outlined above.

The Club in consequence could be punished for actions of its members and supporters.

This Club will discourage from selection any player who repeatedly infringes this code.

This Club will hold an inquiry into any breach and suspend or expel any member or supporter it finds guilty of breaking the code of conduct from membership of the Club.

COLTS

In the interest of safety, Colts are not allowed on the ground unless supervised by an adult.

The Club is only responsible for Colts on the designated Colts' training evenings or Colts' matches.
