CODE OF CONDUCT

All members/supporters of this Club are expected to play and/or support the playing of the game of cricket in accordance with the spirit of good sportsmanship and fair play.

In particular, members should ensure that in playing of the game, and in their general support of the Club and its teams, they at no time indulge in any unsporting behaviour or activities which could blemish the good name of the Club and bring the reputation of the game into disrepute, namely:  insulting opponents;  using bad language;  making offensive remarks to the umpire or opposition supporters;  taking property belonging to the opponents or their club;  publicly criticising the umpire;  playing under the influence of excessive alcohol or influence of drugs;  making racial or racist remarks;  or behaving in a way likely to cause offence.

Members should understand that this Club could be held responsible/answerable to the Surrey Championship, the Surrey County Cricket Association and the England & Wales Cricket Board in turn for the actions of its members or supporters in respect of any misconduct such as outlined above.

The Club in consequence could be punished for actions of its members and supporters.

This Club will discourage from selection any player who repeatedly infringes this code.

This Club will hold an inquiry into any breach and suspend or expel any member or supporter it finds guilty of breaking the code of conduct from membership of the Club.
